The longest night of the year is a threshold—the completion of one cycle and the doorway to the next.
The solstice invites us to go deep into our inner worlds and sit in stillness, in darkness, in the depths of our being.
This year, we are being called to go deep and meet the Great Mother - to receive healing, clearing and support.
It’s about stepping out of the noise.
This year has been a year of unraveling for many of us.
Old structures cracking. Identities loosening. Relationships, beliefs, and ways of being that no longer fit falling away.
While much of that has been painful, it’s also been clarifying.
It has asked us to go deeper — beneath fear, beneath chaos, beneath what we can’t control — and reconnect with what is steady, true, and real.
This Winter Solstice is an invitation to pause.
To descend.
To listen.
And to remember what has been holding you all along.
For me, this season has not felt abstract or symbolic.
It has felt embodied — and maternal.
Beneath the unraveling of this year, I’ve felt a deep, steady presence moving:
not a fragile whisper, but a grounding pulse that says:
Go deeper. You are held. You are loved. You are supported.
I’ve come to know this presence as the Great Mother.
The living intelligence beneath the dark.
The womb of creation.
The maternal ground that receives what is finished and gently reshapes what is becoming.
This is not about losing yourself in darkness.
It is about discovering that the dark can be safe.
That there is a presence that holds you — patiently and compassionately.
This Winter Solstice is an invitation into that relationship:
learning to rest in what holds you,
trusting that Presence in the stillness,
and allowing what is no longer true to fall away.
I will hold loving, compassionate space as we go deep. We will meet the Great Mother, sit with Her in stillness and peace, receive Her gifts and emerge transformed.
Then we will release. The year that's been. The nine-year numerological cycle that's completing. Everything we are ready to let go of to make room for what comes next.
Because early winter is the womb—the dreaming space where what wants to be born begins to take form in the darkness. We don't force it. We rest in the spaciousness. We allow the spark of a new beginning to find us.
This ceremony is the crossing. From what was, through the void, into what's becoming.
Establish deep safety through vagus nerve work, moving meditation, and embodied awakening
Descend into our inner worlds with guides accompanying us
Sit in the darkness, the stillness, the quiet
Meet with the Great Mother and receive Her healing gifts
Emerge to reflect, do some journal writing, and honor what we've learned
Review the year and release what's ready to burn in our ceremonial fire
Call in what we want to experience in the year ahead and celebrate with our guides
This space is for you if:
you’ve been navigating loss, transition, or deep inner change
you feel worn down by the noise of the world
you sense that something is ending, but don’t yet know what’s beginning
you long for a grounded, non‑performative place to rest and listen
You don’t need to be “spiritual enough.”
You don’t need to know the language.
You just need to feel the pull inward.
Whether you join us live or honor the Solstice in your own way, consider this gently:
What is finished in your life?
What is asking to be released?
And can you imagine — even for a moment — that beneath all of it, something wise and maternal has been holding you?
If that question stirs something in you, you’re welcome here.
With warmth,
Laura
